Peregrine Team is hiring for Medical Assistants in Newport Beach, CA. This position is a full-time, contract to hire role with full benefits and competitive pay.  

$23 - $27/hour

Job Duties: 

• Scheduling patients which can include follow up office visits, imaging and lab work, preparation of appropriate chart elements, checking vital signs, rooming patients both virtually and in person, and assisting with procedures.
• The non-clinical responsibilities of this position would also include pre-authorization process and acting as a liaison between the providers and patient.
• The Medical Assistant will work collaboratively with staff to ensure all proper records are received and all appropriate testing is completed prior to appointment/surgery date.
• The Medical Assistant will provide updates to the staff and patients on timing and status for all the above tasks that could have an impact on the patient’s health and/or testing and treatment options.
• Ensures even patient flow and continuous communication within the hospital and referring physician offices.
• This person will be comfortable with digital technology and the use of the Compass app and Epic for managing patient care.

Qualifications: 

• Must have four (4) years’ experience in Primary care
• Ability to anticipate provider needs/ critical thinking skills that come from experience
• High school Diploma or equivalent GED - Required
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program - Required
• Current BLS Certification - Required
• Shift: 40 hours (5x8)

• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• AMT certified as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
• NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
• NAHP Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA).
• NCCT certified as a National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
