Construction Manager
Peregrine Team is hiring for a Construction Manager in Monterey, CA. This position is a full-time role with full benefits and competitive pay.
**Job Overview**
We are seeking an experience Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage a variety of major construction and renovation projects across the Central Coast of California. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects efficiently and on schedule. You will work closely with a site superintendent to ensure smooth operations and timely completion. This position offers opportunities for career advancement and a competitive compensation package.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Determine and manage resources (manpower, equipment, materials) within budget constraints.
- Plan and coordinate all construction operations, scheduling intermediate phases to meet deadlines.
- Recruit and manage subcontractors and vendors, delegating responsibilities as needed.
- Monitor progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Submit monthly progress billings and ensure compliance with labor regulations and documentation requirements.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules, phasing, and sequencing.
- Ensure all projects adhere to health and safety standards and address any issues promptly.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager.
- Deep understanding of construction procedures, material management, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Project).
- Experience with construction/project management software such as Procore and BlueBeam is preferred.
- Experience overseeing direct trade work including earthwork, underground utilities, concrete, and framing.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective team player with leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, or a related field is preferred.
- PMP or similar certification is an advantage.
