Essential Duties and Functions:
The Senior Benefits Specialist delivers comprehensive communication support and third-party vendor oversight for the Benefits department across critical benefit programs including
retirement plans, educational assistance, and comprehensive health programs.
This role ensures optimal program performance while maintaining vendor accountability
to established service standards.
Analyzes and oversees operational workflows, program documentation, and policy frameworks.
Demands exceptional client service capabilities, strong communication abilities, organizational
excellence, meticulous attention to detail, and effective prioritization skills within a dynamic work
environment.
100% onsite in Orange County
$47-65/hr (based on experience and qualifications)
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversees comprehensive communication initiatives for Health & Welfare, 401k, and wellness programs targeting both staff and service providers
- Administers Tuition Reimbursement and Back-up Care Support programs, including third-party vendor coordination and policy development
- Coordinates and maintains Solution Hub and additional third-party platforms for designated client segments
- Supports Open Enrollment sessions and New Employee Orientation programs with emphasis on staff engagement
- Delivers outstanding customer service through prompt response to inquiries and elevated concerns from staff and service providers
- Creates and updates comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support thorough Benefits Team training
- Engages in professional development opportunities to stay current with regulatory changes and industry trends
- Contributes to strategic planning initiatives to ensure benefits programs align with organizational objectives
Required Qualifications:
- Four-year degree or high school completion with comparable professional experience
- Minimum 3 years in benefits administration, emphasizing healthcare benefits and medical program oversight
- Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, and related legislation
Preferred:
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation.
